WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
One of the hardest challenges believers face is when they have a loved one who has drifted away from God. Standing by and seeing them go down a wrong road is painful. The encouraging thing to remember is that God is always pulling for the backslider. Hosea 14:4 says that God loves the backslider. Even though they have made terrible mistakes, the Lord is continually wooing them back to Himself. As a family member standing by, our job is to continue praying. As hard as it can be not to, we can’t put excess pressure upon them to make changes. We certainly can admonish when opportunities arise, but we can’t force anyone or nag them. We can pray, be an example, and most certainly decree into the atmosphere their supernatural return back into the Kingdom of God!
