His Body And Blood

May 10, 2020 | Daily Decrees, Pastor Brenda Kunneman

SCRIPTURE

And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me (1 Corinthians 11:24).

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

The communion meal is far more than just a ceremonial practice. It’s a directive from the Lord that carries within it supernatural power. Jesus instructed that we are to do it in His remembrance. What is the power of that? Each time we remember His death and resurrection we are recalling what it provided us. We remember that He died and with Him our own sins were buried. We remember that when He rose, we rose with Him into a newness of life, not just in the life to come, but right now. The communion meal represents the supernatural power of the cross, and each time we receive it, we take that supernatural power within us. It’s also a time for self-examination and forgiveness of others. There is power in this holy meal and we decree that power goes into you today!
