HEAVENLY RAINS

May 24, 2020 | Daily Decrees, Pastor Brenda Kunneman

SCRIPTURE

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth (Hosea 6:3).

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

It’s interesting how the Bible describes God’s visitation as rain. It makes sense, however, because rain is unmistakable. If it’s raining, you know it! You can hear, see, and even smell it. When God comes as the rain, our lives are watered by the Spirit, enabling us to grow and bear fruit. When the rain of His visitation comes, it removes the impurities and debris of a former season. His “rainy” visitation waters the desert places in our lives, which are areas where it seems we aren’t producing much. God’s rain softens our hearts just like natural rain softens the ground. When our hearts are soft we can receive the seed of God’s Word and bear fruit— thirty-, sixty-, and one hundredfold. Ask God to visit your life as the rain!
