For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. (2 Chronicles 16:9a NKJV)
Pastor Hank here. Scripture tells us that God promises His strength to those who are loyal to Him. Another way to say this is, to those whose hearts are completely His. When our hearts belong completely to the Lord, He promises to show Himself strong for us.
God is looking for someone to reveal His strength to. Will it be you? In our current situation, are you one who will stand with the Lord and remain loyal to Him? When everything around you is shaking, will you be found in faith or in fear? When the enemy screams his lies at you, will you stand with God and determine that your heart completely belongs to Him? This kind of loyalty happens when we make God’s heart our first priority. We submit ourselves to Him – our thoughts, our opinions, our wills – and we deliberately choose to align with His heart and His intentions. Please understand, I’m not saying this is always easy! Laying down our opinions and the ways that we think God should do things is contrary to our human nature. It means we choose to crucify our flesh and natural mindsets in order to pursue a deeper relationship with Him. God’s desire is for us to stay connected with Him at a heart level. When we have this kind of relationship where He is our first and best priority, we will find ourselves unshakeable as we experience His favor and His strength on our behalf!
