With all that is happening in the world right now, it can often be tempting to lose hope. So many Christians have become discouraged at not only the condition of society, but also by the circumstances of their own lives. Perhaps you are one of those who feel frustrated that certain things haven’t turned out differently, or that the answers to your prayers have felt delayed. Whatever you are dealing with in life, it’s not a time to give up hope.
Colossians 1:23 reminds us that we are to remain grounded and settled in faith, not allowing ourselves to be moved away from the hope of the Gospel. In other words, don’t drift away from the assurance you have that God has your life in His hands and He is working on your situation to bring about a positive and miraculous outcome. Sure, there is resistance in this world, but we have a God that is greater and has overcome the tribulation of this world. We receive that victory by keeping our faith (1 John 5:4). So, don’t lose hope today, because God is working a miracle for you!
