SCRIPTURE
But solid food belongs to those who are mature, for those who through practice have powers of discernment that are trained to distinguish good from evil (Hebrews 5:14 MEV).
WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
One of the most important elements believers must possess in this hour is discernment. Discernment is simply the ability to separate good from evil, right from wrong. It isn’t being suspicious, nor does it carry a pious attitude toward others. A discerning believer is one who can stay on track and not become entangled in deception. So how do we become more discerning? We must feed on the Word of God and literally practice and train ourselves to look for where deception might be lurking. Sadly, many Christians do this to others’ lives but aren’t as careful to do so with their own. If you practice a life of discernment, it will enable you to be more precise and accurate with heavenly insight and in how to you speak for the Lord. Ask the Lord to help you become a more discerning Christian today!
