When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses (Matthew 8:16-17).

If there is any promise in the Bible that we need to fight to receive, it’s the promise to walk in divine health. Our current world is saturated in various illnesses. It’s hard not to run into someone who isn’t dealing with some physical condition. Sickness is a curse that robs people of their quality of life; it steals time, money, and more. The Bible is very clear that Jesus came to carry our sicknesses and diseases. However, if we are not careful, we can easily miss out on this promise by not resisting the attack of sickness. We have to be careful not to just tolerate certain conditions either because we have had them a long time or because it just seems like such things are part of life. Jesus paid for us to live in divine health, so it’s important that we boldly decree it in His Name!
