SCRIPTURE
The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you (Deuteronomy 28:8 NIV).
WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
The first few verses of Deuteronomy 28 are promises that were written to Israel under the law of Moses reminding the people that if they would serve God wholeheartedly, in return God would ensure blessing on all aspects of their lives. We often refer to these verses as the blessing of the covenant, and if you notice, a great deal of it relates to a person’s work life. It speaks of having success in business, financial surplus, and blessing on one’s property and assets. These promises are reiterated in various ways throughout Scripture—if you serve God, He will bless your occupational endeavors. The Lord wants you to take hold of that truth in your spirit today so you can begin to wake up each morning expecting your work life to be productive, successful, and blessed!
