AN ENDURING PATIENCE

May 17, 2020 | Daily Decrees, Pastor Brenda Kunneman

SCRIPTURE

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise (Hebrews 10:36).

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

When you mention the word patience in a conversation, it’s often met with some humorous commentary. That is because patience is one of the hardest attributes to develop in our lives, yet it’s one of the elements we most need. It is listed as one of the fruits of the Spirit (see Gal. 5:22) because a person with patience is a person who remains steady. They don’t live life on a roller coaster of highs and lows, ups and downs, and they don’t look for shortcuts to attain goals. A person of patience realizes that life is not a series of easy roads, but rather a long journey that requires steady choices that don’t always produce visible results in a short time. Declaring patience over you will help you become that person and will enable you to see the fruit that patience brings.
