Actively Pursuing God

Feb 14, 2021 | Articles, Pastor Brenda Kunneman

Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 AMP

Pastor Brenda here. We all know how easy it can be to become overwhelmed by our circumstances. Not one of us can truthfully say that we stay above the chaos all the time. There is only one thing that truly keeps us in the place of peace, and that is the fact that God has not left us alone. In fact, He’s promised to never leave or forsake us. What does this mean for us? It means that in every situation, no matter how desperate or out-of-control things might look, we can cry out to Him and expect Him to show up and act on our behalf! In fact, when we seek God with all our hearts, we open ourselves up to receiving not only revelation, but His tangible presence.

The key here is that we actively pursue God. This may mean that we have to rearrange our schedules, set aside our agendas, and reprioritize God above the duties and distractions of life. Pursuing the Lord always requires an adjustment on our part. We must be intentional about this! This is especially critical now, as we are calling out to Him on behalf of our nation. When we truly desire God, He will surely come and act on behalf of His people and fill us, and our land, with His glory!

I am praying for you.
